Donation drop off at the Austin Diaper Bank – Dec 15,2024

For this 2024 Thanksgiving, we organized a donation drive to provide feminine hygiene products to underprivileged girls and women in the Round Rock, Austin, and surrounding areas. Through fundraising efforts and generous donations, we were able to collect $4,000, which was directed towards supporting the Round Rock ISD FIT (Families in Transition) program. This program assists students experiencing homelessness in the Round Rock Independent School District, ensuring they have the resources they need to attend and succeed in school. We also continue to support other local nonprofits, including the Round Rock Area Serving Center and the Austin Diaper Bank, in their efforts to help those in need.

5K Run FundRaiser – Feb 18th, 2024

Thanks to the generosity of the people who registered for this 5K run and made generous donations, we were able to raise $700 from this event. All the proceeds will go to the Round Rock High School FIT (Families in Transition ) Program. This program is committed to ensuring that all RRHS students in families suffering from homelessness have the opportunity to enroll in, attend, and succeed in school. FIT is committed to enhancing student learning by impacting the quality of education. Did you know that there are over 1,000 homeless students in Round Rock ISD? This program assists in providing opportunities that might not otherwise be available for those students, such as providing them with school supplies, free food products, and hygiene products. Through working with FIT, we as students can help other students lead healthy and successful lives, free from worry about period poverty.  Every dollar counts, and we as A Fresh Start for Girls will do our best to contribute to our cause and help these students have a successful high school journey and a better future. To all those supported this noble cause, thank you for your generosity and commitment to making a positive difference in our community. Together, we can achieve incredible things!

Donation at Round Rock Serving Center - Dec 20, 2023

The Round Rock Area Serving Center (RRASC), a nonprofit organization, was in need of women’s hygiene products such as sanitary pads, tampons, deodorants. With the help of our benevolent donors, we utilized $200 to purchase hygiene essentials from Costco, such as pads, tampons, and deodorants, which were then donated to this center. Through our efforts, we can help young women overcome hygiene disparities in underprivileged communities, one step at a time. Join A Fresh Start for Girls in our next event and help us make the world a better place for all females!
